Police report that during the period July 9 to 16, 2008 there were a total of 11 crime reports and 9 Traffic accidents. 3 Of the traffic accidents were determined to be serious.

Criminal Offences Report::  The offences included three (03) reports of theft, three (03) reports of criminal damage, one (01) report of Indecent Assault, one (01) report of Fraud, two (02) report of Actual bodily harm and one (01) report of Grievous Bodily Harm.

THEFT: The three (03) thefts reported occurred in The Valley, East End and Island Harbour. The items reported stolen in these theft cases included two (02) Bicycles, one (01) Motor Scooter.
The motor scooter was later recovered by the police officers investigating the theft.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: In the criminal damage cases, damage were done to the window of a motor vehicle, the window of a dwelling house, and to a water well.

Arrests: There were nine (09) persons arrested for the week, all males. Two (02) males were arrested and charged for Grievous Bodily Harm, two (02) males was arrested and charged for Disorderly Conduct, three (03) males were arrested and charged for Actual Bodily Harm, and one (01) male was arrested for Indecent Assault one (01) male was arrested for Loitering.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) is presently undertaking inquires into all of the crimes reported.
