Stevi Lauren Perry, Miss Arkansas Teen USA was crowned
Miss Teen USA 2008.
 The
beautiful Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau Bahamas, hosted
the first ever Miss Teen USA to be held outside the United
States, on Saturday August 16th. The 2008 Miss Teen USAŽ
pageant brought 51 young women from the United States to the
Islands of the Bahamas where they could share in the culture
and hospitality of the Caribbean destination. Paula M.
Shugart, President of the Miss Universe Organization had
described Atlantis as a perfect location for an event
of this magnitude with its tropical atmosphere and many
amenities that cater to teens and their families, including
the trendy teen hangout, Club Rush.
 Young,
talented Bahamian R&B entertainer Terneille Burrows ("TaDa")
who Caribbean viewers would have seen featured
on Tempo, performed two of her songs on the evening,
thoroughly entertaining the audience between the Swim Suit
and Evening Gown Segments. It was a tremendous opportunity
for many to see this young Bahamian Star in action.
Former Miss Teen USA 2004 Shelley Hennig, a current "Days of
Our Lives" star and Seth Goldman of NBC's "Entertainment
Buzz" emceed the pageant. MISS USAŽ2008 CRYSTLE STEWART was
also on hand to participate throughout the evening,
including graciously providing photo-ops for many in the
audience during intermissions.
At the end of the elegant 2 hour program, Stevi Lauren
Perry, Miss Arkansas Teen USA was crowned Miss Teen USA 2008
.
